Return to Home Issues

If your Aeroo Pro isn't returning to home as expected, try these troubleshooting steps for a simple fix.ย

ย

Why Return to Home Might Not Work

The Return to Home (RTH) feature relies on GPS and proper setup to function correctly. Issues may occur if:ย

  • The drone doesn't have a good GPS lock before takeoff.
  • The home point wasn't set correctly.
  • You're flying in an area with signal interference (metal structures, power lines).
  • Theย payload release is closed (this can disable downward sensors).

How to Fix RTH Issues

1. Check GPS Signal Before Takeoff

  • Always wait until the app shows a strong GPS lock (10+ satellites) before flying.
  • Take off in an open area away from metal, buildings, or trees for the best signal.

2. Set the Home Point Correctly

  • Confirm that the home point is saved in the Aeroo Fly app before takeoff.
  • You can manually update it in the app if needed (e.g., if flying from a boat).

3. Update Firmware

  • Open the Aeroo Fly app and go to: Settings -> General Purpose -> Version -> tap Check for Updates.
  • Install any available updates for improved GPS and RTH performance.

4. Avoid Interference

  • Turn your phone to Aeroplane Mode (with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth on) to prevent incoming calls or apps from interfering with the connection.
  • Avoid flying near power lines, metal roofs, or large antennas.

5. Test Without Payload

  • If flying with a payload, try RTH with the payload released.
  • If the downward sensors are disabled when the payload release is closed, it may disrupt landing accuracy.

These steps should get you back in the air and flying in no time!
